My transparent Rainmeter setup Rainmeter
A Slideshow 1.0. Require rainmeter 4+. A lightweight image slideshow skin, for your family photos. Settings in Resource\settings.inc. Other slideshow skin use custom transition animation, which is very performance taxing (sometime freeze rainmeter/input delay for duration of the animation). This skin doesn't use transition animation, only minus.

Start a Command Prompt window. In the Command Prompt window, deconstruct your .gif file. Use the ImageMagick tool to extract the "frames" from the .gif image into separate image files. Any output image format can be used, but if your .gif has transparency, you will need to output to .png.
